“It’s been 10 years now and it still feels like yesterday.”
That was how Mike put it as he reflected on the past ten years working from home as a software tester for an Australian HR consulting firm.
Mike happens to be “Contractor No. 00001″ for Kinetic Innovating Staffing—which entered the remote work scene in 2013.
Championing A Purrr-recious Cause
Alisson | Data Controller for an AUS Construction Company
Working from home has allowed many of our team members to pursue their passions and advocacies. Just like Alisson, a Data Controller working remotely for a construction company in Australia.
“Working with Kinetic in 2020, I started rescuing cats, taking them in and adopting them, or helping place them with animal rescue groups. Here is my latest rescued kitten, Asher.
“Working from home frees up so much time for me to dedicate to feeding community cats and strays, rescuing animals in need, and bringing them personally to rescue groups and shelters. I would not have this much free time if I were stuck in traffic commuting to and from the office, that’s for sure! I also would not have started this advocacy if I were working on-site as I’d not have the time or energy for it, caught up in rushing to and from work and avoiding the rush hour.
But because of Kinetic, I WFH, my work-life balance is great, and I get to help save animals!”
